Føroyar- in an archipelago of 18 mountainous islands between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Faroes are an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark. Small in size but large in personality and grandeur the Faroe Island's terrain features huge rugged cliffs, streaming waterfalls and thousands of sheep. From afar the Faroese landscapes appear barren but in person they conjure up notions of the sublime while challenging one's perceptions of living with the ocean.
